WELCOME BACK TO SCHOOL!
We look forward to seeing you tomorrow—September 1! Drop off is between 7:30-7:55 AM. Please have students to school on time so we can start off in a good routine!
Welcome back! Parents/Guardians: You will have homework on the first night of school; please complete and return forms to the office.
Cross Country schedules and permission slips will be coming home this week. Please get these back to school ASAP so we can plan for your child participating. Students in K & 1 must have a parent/guardian attend practice with them. All meets will be at Jonesport Elementary, and parents/guardians must provide transportation. Students must attend school and for the whole day to participate in practices/meets.
General Reminders:
•Please be patient as bus times may vary the first week or so as we make sure all students are picked up/dropped off as needed. Please get out and wait early. Reminder that the driver must see an adult for a younger student to be dropped off at night.
•Afternoon dismissal starts at 2:25; students being picked up will be released at that time and then busses will be dismissed as they arrive from the high school.
•Please avoid calling the office with after school plan changes after 1:00.
•Toys and other items such as, fidgets, squishes, stuffed animals, trading cards, figurines, electronics, should NOT be brought to school or on the bus. Staff will not accept responsibility for any personal items that are broken, lost or damaged in any way. These can cause major disruptions to our learning.
•Individual birthday parties cannot be held at school; please do NOT send in cupcakes or other food items. Please consider donating a book or supplies to the classroom instead. Do not send home individual birthday party invitations at school unless all students in the class are invited.
•The microwave at lunch is for reheating food. Please do not send cans that have to opened. Food items should come in a dish ready to re-heat.

September 14: Fall Assessment window opens (grades 3-6 will be priority, then grades 1 & 2)
September 15: Open House 6:00-7:00 PM
September 17: Substitute Training, 5:30-7:00 at HES
September 24: Cross Country Races at Jonesport Elementary
September 30: Grades 4, 5, 6 Planetarium Show at Milbridge Elementary (leave HES approx. 9:30, return by 11:15); School Board Meeting at 7:00
October 1: Cross Country Races at Jonesport Elementary
October 2: School Picture Day
