Dear D.W. Merritt School Families,
The school year is going by quickly! Your children are doing well adjusting to our school pandemic guidelines. They continue to grow, learn and play each day. I am very proud of each and every one of them.
Parent/teacher conference time is coming up soon on Thursday, November 12. Due to the pandemic, we will not be having in-person conferences this fall, but we will be doing virtual, phone or email conferences. The teachers are anxious to communicate with you regarding your child’s/children’s progress. Please fill out the bottom portion of this letter and return it to school. We will then arrange the conference choice that works best for you.
We have just completed our fifth week of school and learning is going well! We are fortunate to be back in school and ready for a productive school year. In the event that our school had to go fully remote for some reason, this would be announced on our school website (www.msad37.me), on the Eagle’s Booster Club facebook page and a notice would also go out on the Remind system as well. Teachers would then reach out to you to start remote instruction for all students. I hope that this doesn’t happen, but I wanted to assure you that we have a fully remote learning plan ready should we need it.
In closing, I want to thank you all for your support and understanding as we work together to give your child/children the best learning experiences possible during this uncertain time.
