Lydia's Art Submission

Congratulations to Rowan Michaud for winning both a Gold Key and Honorable Mention Award in the 2020 Maine Regional Scholastics Writing Awards.  Rowan's Gold Key winning Short Story, "Letters to the Barrows", will automatically advance to national judging and will be considered for a national award medal.  National writing award medal winners will be announced on March 16th.  Congratulations Rowan!

Congratulations also go to Lydia DeSchiffart for winning a Gold Key in the 2020 Maine Regional Scholastics Art Awards.  Her Gold Key winning "jewelry" entry, "Elemental Stole", will automatically advance to national judging and will be considered for a national award medal.  National art award medal winners will also be announced on March 16th.  Lydia's entry will be on exhibit at Maine College of the Art in Portland from February 28th until March 14th when the art exhibit will culminate with an awards ceremony celebrating all the award winners.  Congratulations Lydia!

The Scholastic Art and Writing Awards are prestigious.  Since 1923, the Awards have recognized some of America' most celebrated artists and writers, while they were teenagers, including:  Stephen King, Joyce Carol Oates and Andy Warhol.  Narraguagus is proud to count Rowan and Lydia among these esteemed Scholastic Awards alumni!
